Trainer, Consultant
Tomáš Hrouda

Something work-related
Tomáš joined humancraft in 2009 after many years in management positions in companies in the Czech Republic and abroad. Thanks to his professional experience, he has focused on developing people in the areas of communication, personality typologies, leadership, and internal process optimization. He enjoys working with people and passing on knowledge, skills, and principles that help them move forward. In addition to these soft skills topics, Tomáš is also an expert in the automotive field — from production to the development of dealer networks, including sales, aftersales, internal and external communication, and technology. At the same time, he always strives to tailor his training sessions to the client’s needs, using a playful and experiential approach based on the well-known idea that the best way to learn is through play. That is also why he became a certified facilitator of the LEGO Serious Play method, which allows him to further develop participants’ creative potential.
Something personal
Tomáš is someone who does not like to be bored. He enjoys travelling, meeting new people, and experiencing new things. This is also why he took the opportunity to spend longer periods of time in Australia and the United States, where he gained many unusual life and work experiences. He is interested in lifestyle trends and technology, especially cars — but in general, anything that moves and has an engine. Tomáš believes that people do not learn much new by staying in their comfort zone; to keep moving forward, they need to meet new people and discover new places.
1) How would you describe your job in one sentence?
I help people move forward, both personally and professionally, overcome challenges, and break out of established patterns.
2) What has influenced you in life, and how does it show up in your work?
Many things: my parents, friends, partner, the people I have met, and the places I have visited. I try to pass on the good and important things I have learned from my own experience.
3) Why do you work for humancraft?
Professionalism both externally and internally, a great team of people, plenty of inspiration, variety and broad scope, and the opportunity to be part of interesting projects.
4) What has been your biggest challenge at humancraft so far?
It was connected to COVID. From one day to the next, all training sessions were cancelled, and within just a few days we literally had to shift everything into the online environment.
5) How does your work influence your personal development and career?
It brings inspiration, a different way of thinking about clients’ needs, and the opportunity to meet new people — not only top professionals in senior positions.
6) What are the biggest challenges in corporate education today, and how is humancraft addressing them?
New technologies, more demanding clients and participants, and uncertainty around learning budgets linked to the political and economic situation in Europe. We need to address these challenges calmly and thoughtfully, while never forgetting that our clients are our priority.
